ABOUT HEATHER
Heather was born, lived and worked on or close to the land for thirty eight years. She moved to the city in 1995 where she trained to become a social scientist, counsellor and shamanic healing practitioner.
Most recently her work has been influenced by the Huna philosophy and teachings of Hawaiian shaman, Serge Kahili King. These teachings were brought to Heather's awareness at first by Medicine Crow, a native American shaman, and later by Serge himself.
Heather works with a variety of modalities to assist her clients on their journey of self-discovery, healing and purpose. She offers training in shamanic energy healing for professionals and lay people who are interested in learning how to heal themselves and help others heal using vibrational energy therapy. Heather also works intuitively with horses and dogs.
She loves to paint, write, and to discover how to create music in her spare time.
HEATHER'S WORK:
Individual Therapy: Currently Heather works in her private counselling and healing practice at rooms in Shorncliffe and Ubuntu Integrated Medical Centre in Stafford, Brisbane Queensland, using a variety of interesting mediums to encourage clients to explore and work through their unresolved issues and energetic patterns that have limited positive experiences of life so far. Heather is primarily focused on helping her clients, when they are willing and ready, to re-connect with and operate from their Authentic Self. Guided by shamanic principles and universal observation, she endeavours to help people discover their personal and life purpose to find new and creative ways to live life with deeper meaning and connection with their Inner Self and the earth. She works with a variety of transpersonal and shamanic tools (see Services for more information).
Groups: Heather runs a number of workshops for personal and spiritual development throughout the year including regular Creative Visioning (introducing people to other worlds to become clear about their Visions, Goals and Dreams) designing Vision Board workshops. She also runs workshops on how to work intuitively with crystals and occasionally facilitates gatherings for sharing teachings in healing, ceremony and journeying with the Medicine Drum (see 'Workshops" for further information).
Training: Heather offers four levels of training in her method of shamanic healing, known as IVET - Integrated Vibrational Energy Therapy. Please see Training for more information.
Corporate Visioning: Heather currently works as a Wellbeing Consultant in the world of business offering creative and exciting programs for all levels of management as support for growth in Self Leadership, Self Care and Conscious Community within Industry. Community: Heather works and participates extensively within the community she is living. Her primary interest is in sharing shamanic teachings from the earth. She runs regular Shaman's Walks (for a small donation -proceeds handed on to earth-healing projects) along local beaches and at the Glasshouse Mountains. Most recently Heather is meeting with people in inner city parklands to activate healing portals within the earth, re-opening and regenerating ancient song lines of the city.
She also offers a regular meditation class (gold coin donation) at Ubuntu Integrated Medical Centre Stafford (3857 3777).
General: Heather has worked creatively and professionally in a number of roles, including: artist and art teacher in private practice; artist in residence, youthworker, and facilitator of a woman's group with Behaviour Support Services in Education Qld. She has won state education awards for her work with children and young people facing academic and social challenges. Click on Services for more information.
